Brahmanandam was born on February 1,1956 at Sattenapalli,Andhra Pradesh,India. Prior to movies, he was a Telugu lecturer in the town of Attili, a town in West Godavari district which is very near to Bhimavaram in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He began his filming career with popular Telugu director and writer, Jandhyala's Aha Na Pellanta in which Rajendra Prasad played the lead role. Owing to his comic abilities, he is now one of the most respected comedians in the history of Tollywood.
According to him, Jandhyala was the best comedy director he has ever worked with. He is presently writing a book based on his experiences in the film industry.
